Fire Safety Regulations

Fire Risk Assessment

Additional Fire Safety legislation comes into force on 1st October 2006. This requires all employers to undertake a proper Fire Risk Assessment. Even smaller businesses that were previously exempt due their small size will have to undertake a Fire Risk Assessment after 1st October 2006.

If you have not done a Risk Assessment before this can be quite onerous; identify possible fire hazards, consider who might be affected by them and then detail how the hazard(s) will be dealt with.

B-Safe specialise in identifying possible fire hazards which, if not properly dealt with, could damage your business or people. Our structured, documented approach will help you keep the right side of the law as regards Fire Risk Assessments.

If you are an Employer, this rule will affect YOU. To 'wait and see' is not an option. Be pro-active on this and other Health & Safety issues by contacting B-Safe by calling 01476 577323 or emailing us at enquiry@b-safe.org.uk
